The steps below show how to reset the password for an administrative account. This is also depicted in the video above.
Before you begin: You need access to the email account linked to your administrator username.
Reset your password
On the login page, click Forgot Your Password.
Enter your username, then click Submit.
Open your email and locate the password reset message from donotreply@catertrax.com . Note that the password reset link is valid for only one hour.
Copy the password reset link from the email and paste it into a new browser tab.
- Create a new password that meets all minimum requirements. Look for on-screen checkmarks confirming each one. Note: The "Enter a password not used recently" won't show a checkmark but is informational.
- Re-enter your new password and click Submit. A confirmation message will appear once your password is updated.
After updating, sign in with your new password to access your administrative account.
Important Notes:
After updating your password , Please log in within 24 hours to avoid deactivation. Accounts inactive for 6 months will also be deactivated.Troubleshooting
Pasting the reset link into a new browser tab can prevent issues from expired or partially opened links.
If the reset email doesn't arrive, check your junk, spam, and clutter folders.
Ensure that the correct username was entered when the reset request was submitted.
If you receive an "unable to update password" error, it may be because you recently used that password or because your account was active and needs to be reactivated before you can successfully reset your password. To reactivate it, please contact support at 800-975-8729.If problems persist, contact support at 800-975-8729.
Adding CaterTrax to your safe senders list may prevent future delivery issues if reset emails are filtered.
